Every day we see our volunteers enter homes and neighborhoods they otherwise would never have a reason to visit. We see our youth enter homes and neighborhoods they would never be able to see from the inside. It's this mixing of realities - people getting outside of their bubbles that is hopeful. It's when we begin to look after our neighbor's child as though they matter as much as our own, that real change can be had.

Having a healthy adult who shows up consistently with love and respect allows kids to trust and be seen and accepted. It allows them to be a kid - not a “foster kid” but just a kid, with this grown-up who genuinely cares about them.
When relationships form with volunteers like Zoe Ann & Harry, children gain normalcy in an abnormal situation - and the family gains support that helps them have a stable household.
Walking alongside a child in foster care means having a front-row seat to their story, celebrating milestones, and offering encouragement through their struggles. Our programs are simple and effective - the social capital that naturally occurs through people helping people has ripple affects for many generations to come. By funding our programs, you affect significant downstream systemic issues like housing, graduation and poverty rates, and costly health interventions.

Financials
As a part of being responsible stewards of the organization and mission, we have worked diligently towards the goal of building and maintaining 6-12 months of operating reserves for unforeseen emergencies and opportunities.
We are committed to funding our current year budget, and also building reserves to be a sustainable investment.
