Clallam County Case Manager

Picture

EveR thought about being a case manager?

We are looking to recruit a dependable, compassionate, justice-seeker to join our team as a Case Manager, and help support children and families experiencing foster care on the Olympic Peninsula.

One full-time position will serve Clallam County, and will be a lot of fun, and work of the best kind.

Sound like you? Perfect. Keep reading….

Olympic Angels is an inspired and impatient nonprofit that seeks to change the way children, youth, and families experience the foster care system. We believe that if we can get every child, youth, and family in the foster care system on the Olympic Peninsula in our programs, we have a great chance of changing the world we live in.

Our fast-growing organization has a start-up mentality, but also a level of professionalism and drive that is not found in most nonprofits. There is a LOT of opportunity within our organization and we are looking for a creative, innovative self-starter who exudes these five core competencies: Professionalism, Passion, Initiative, Adaptability, and Positivity.

At the core, we believe the solution to foster care is engaging the whole community, weaving the threads and tying the knots that can catch and hold all children. The model is simple - develop and empower teams of volunteers to provide holistic support to families and mentorship to teens. Our programs are ultimately driven by the healing power of consistent healthy relationships.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The main role of a case manager involves matching volunteers with youth in foster care and their families. This involves conducting a needs assessment to establish baseline needs, training volunteers, and monitoring the ongoing progress of each Olympic Angels match.

Case Managers are pivotal to achieving our mission and act as the backbone of the organization. They are boots on the ground essential workers who show up to serve children from hard places and the people who care for them. They are experts in the subtle art of matchmaking. They are deeply informed about trauma, resources, and the fabric of our individual Peninsula communities.

They are the ones who recruit, train, vet, and match our volunteers with kids and families most in need. Case Managers regularly communicate with several dozen volunteers, checking in on them and the families they support - their needs, heartaches, and wins.

The Clallam Case Manager will be starting very fresh, making connections and partnerships to lay the foundation for future case work. You must love a challenge, working collaboratively and be able to manage time and energy well.
