JUSTINE PRATT |
Connecter, social butterfly and chameleon, mother, systems-thinker, story-teller, Aquarian.
Likes: Spontaneous dance moments, compost, flowers of all shapes and colors, chocolate chip cookies, nuance and complexity, knowing the details Dislikes: Social media, the ubiquity of plastic, emails without punctuation, income and wealth inequality, exaggeration and oversimplification, pretentiousness Justine did not expect to return to the Olympic Peninsula when she left as a teenager, but one extended visit to friends in Port Townsend has turned into eight years and a life brimming with community and meaning. Since returning to this place as an adult Justine has worked and volunteered with many projects and organizations that have a common thread of supporting a vibrant, affordable, quirky community. Since becoming a parent, Justine’s perspective on social justice work has shifted to how children and families experience this place, and also how childhood experiences impact society as a whole. This has brought her to Olympic Angels |
